We will definately be back! Everything on the menu sounded delicious! My husband had the smothered chicken sandwich which was wonderful. I had the pork loin sandwich which was huge, crunchy exterior, and delicious with the pickles on the bun. The garlic potatoes and the Cole slaw were both great sides. I cant wait to try what else they have! It is a hideaway, back behind Taco John's, but worth the trip!

Really like the environment of Email's. Large restaurant with high booths so can enjoy yourself with out distraction. Food was just ok, not bad but not something to brag about.

The food came out piping hot. Mine dish tasted great. My son's was devoured. Emil's Hideaway has a pleasant atmosphere that lends itself to companionship and sharing.

I'm always in search of a good burger and this place surprised me. One of the best burgers I've had locally and the deep fried pickles were great. It is in a funky location and the parking lot is kinda tore up. You sorta expect a dive bar until you get inside and it's pretty nice.

Our family had a wonderful experience tonight! Our server Elizabeth was very attentive, and patient with us as we have never been there before. She also made great recommendations for entrees which tasted great. All around Elizabeth was an amazing server. We tried a few of the starters and they were all amazing. Everything came out hot. Very fast service. We will definitely be back!

Emil's is a great restaurant hidden off first avenue. The place was packed on our visit, but the wait staff still did a great job of checking on us regularly. The menu has a excellent selection of food. There were so many different options it made it hard to choose what to order. I would recommend giving it a try.

Completely Awesome food! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's really a nice place for lunch, dinner, or just having some drinks. I visited during the lunch hour and we were seated immediately upon entering. The server was very prompt and friendly. We ordered and our food was brought to us in a timely manner. If and when you go there be sure to try the stuffed mushrooms, they are out of this world, the best I've had in Cedar Rapids. Definitely recommend this place for everyone!!!

In town for business and we decided to try this place out. We had a ground of about 10 guys and I don't think I heard anyone complain at all. My burger was excellent and the spicy chicken Rangoon was great, I probably could have just had two orders of those and been good. Would definitely recommend this place. My GPS took us on the back streets to get to Emil's. Parking lot dark & shady looking. However, step thru the doors to a very nice restaurant & bar. Food was excellent, beer cold and fantastic service. Definitely best meal we had in Cedar Rapids.

TERRIFIC! Such good food and an AMAZING WAITRESS. There was several of us ordering appetizers left and right. When the bill came, she had added up all apps & divided it between all of us. Wonderful idea!

Absolutely loved our lunch! After you find this restaurant! Tricky for first timers! But definitely a must when in town! We had a very friendly attentive server, who greeted us, tended bar and severed our food! All food is fresh, made daily and not that frozen stuff! We had carnitas pizza and absolutely delicious, with a wonderful crust

The food is really good here. Everyone liked what they ordered. There is a lot to choose from and the staff were awesome. Super friendly. The only thing that isn't so great is the parking is a little tight on the side by the entrance. We parked on the other side of the building. We'll definitely be back. Loved the food.

Just finished our Thanksgiving take-and-bake turkey dinner and couldn't be happier. So convenient and tasty. Everything was wonderful, but the gravy was especially good. I was tempted to eat it like soup, but saved it for leftovers instead.

Chicken tortilla soup was amazing. Also ordered the Hawkeye sandwich which was phenomenal. Fries were hot and crispy. Staff was very friendly. Five stars

This is a hidden gem in Cedar Rapids. The food is top tier. The chefs obviously take pride in their menu! The drink my sister ordered was delicious. Can't wait to go there again to try more! It is hidden away behind another building and the outside of the building does not inspire confidence that it will be good, but trust me, this is a place you do not want to miss.

Food, service, and atmosphere were great. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a gem on the inside. Had the Thai peanut butter burger, which was a perfect fusion of Thai flavor with a burger. Good selection of draft beer beer. Bar area has tv's to watch games comfortably.

Delicious food!! A little expensive but very well worth the price. The place is my birthday meal the last 2 years! (For a real good reason) Its currently my favorite place to eat in Cedar Rapids Iowa

I had a Reuben and fries. My 4 year old grandson had Mac &Cheese and fries. He said this is good grampa. The rest of the group had a Chicken salad, a Cuban sandwich and Shrimp Porboy sandwich. Not our first time there, not our last.

We stopped in for the first time this April for a quick dinner. The wait staff was awesome, the food was awesome, I actually enjoyed the place very much. Thanks for a worry free meal!!
